Faced with a high unemployment rate in South Africa, Mia Melange is working on creating products that are labor-intensive so that they can create employment opportunities for women in our community. Fraying the edges of the Mane Clutch is very time-consuming, and provides many hours of employment!

This bag closes with a zip. Mia Mélange bags are made from 100% cotton rope which we carefully sew together. The cotton is grown locally in South Africa by farmers who are members of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI).
